The United Arab Emirates has made a name for itself around the world as a top filming location. The variety of locations all within a short distance from one another provides unrivalled logistical options for a wide range of shoots. Just imagine filming in between the city’s skyscrapers and 45 minutes later in the desert and an hour after that in the mountains. The roads are some of the best in the world making it ideal for car shoots.
Hollywood was first attracted to Dubai while shooting Mission Impossible and to Abu Dhabi as an alien planet in the highly successful Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Dubai was featured the following year in Star Trek: Beyond. Dubai was also the featured location in the Feature film produced by our team — The Wedding Party 2 — The highest-grossing film of all time in West Africa and is currently on Netflix.
Abu Dhabi has a 30% cash rebate program. The incentive, extends to commercials, as well as feature films and television shows and can be applied for through our Abu Dhabi office.
Standard crew day durations are 12 hours and are calculated from the time that the crew arrive at the location if within city limits or from the rental if out of city limits.
The UAE is one of the few places in the world currently open for filming. Several travel corridors are open with the rest of the world for easy access while stringent protocols are in place to make sure that the film set is safe for all involved.
